Just a few short days ago, Nintendo officially announced the release date for the new Sora amiibo. And according to a recent datamine of Splatoon 3, they’re not done with new figures just yet.
A thread from ashbinary_ on Twitter goes in-depth on Splatoon 3’s resource table, which contains references to content not currently available in-game. This includes new weapon kits, unreleased stages, and unreleased sets of gear. Two of those unreleased gear sets have the amiibo brand, which implies that Nintendo is planning to release at least two more new amiibo figures for Splatoon 3. That being said, the reference to these amiibo doesn’t necessarily guarantee their release – though it would make sense for the release of the Side Order DLC next year.
The full thread includes even more information on potential upcoming stages and weapons, so check it out if you’d like to read up on those. It’s important to note that we don’t know the identity of the two unreleased amiibo — it’d make sense to release male and female versions of the Side Order protagonist, but anything’s possible. We also don’t know what exactly the gear pieces are going to be, either, only that they exist at all.
