Coronation Street has seen a lot of incidents over the years and some of them have been down to youngster Hope Stape (played by Isabella Flanagan).

In upcoming scenes, her behavioural issues and mean streak are set to rise again as her jealousy gets the better of her.

Official ITV spoilers show that Eliza Woodrow’s (Savannah Kunyo) belated birthday party gets underway in Speed Daal.

Promising Eliza a surprise, Roy Cropper (David Neilson) and Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) wow the party guests with a science display.

However, a jealous Hope slyly sabotages the science experiment, and as it bursts into huge flames, Yasmeen (actress name) grabs the fire extinguisher.

Were Hope’s intentions to hurt Eliza after feeling like she had lost her friend in Sam?

Will Hope try once again to hurt Eliza and show her that she will always be around for Sam?

Hope’s violent streak has caused some issues over the past couple of years and this upcoming fire wouldn’t be the first.

Back in 2017, she began to display behavioural problems, starting when she set a trampoline on fire which was blamed on Ruby (actress name), as a lighter was found in her possession.

In 2019, Hope set fire to the factory Underworld, indicating that the specialist unit she had attended had not helped her.

Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) struggled to homeschool Hope, so asked her Birmingham support teacher Jade Rowan (Lottie Henshall) to move in as her tutor.

Jade adapted well to living at No.9, but secretly spoiled Hope and tried to drive a wedge between her and her mother, but she then created false evidence that Hope was being physically abused by Fiz.

Although Jade was forced to move out when Hope regained her place at school, she gave Hope a secret phone to contact her with and manipulated her way back into No.9 when she claimed to be homeless.

Hope also set fire to Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) flat whilst his new girlfriend Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) was in there.

Due to the incident, Alina lost their baby and was devastated to find out about Hope’s history of pyromania, and soon left Tyrone.

Hope’s latest escapades saw her fake being bitten by Beth Tinker (Lisa George) and Kirk Sutherland’s (Andy Whyment) dog.

She soon fessed up that it was a lie, but Beth had it out for the teenager and ended up causing more issues.

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
