COD Warzone Mobile vs COD Mobile — Which one is better?

Since the Call of Duty franchise is moving to the phone, we’re seeing more and more entries pop up on those devices. First with COD Mobile and now with COD Warzone Mobile. We have tons of options for where to play the long-running mode. However, if you’re unsure if you’ll get into COD Warzone Mobile, consider this guide to explain the difference between that and COD Mobile

Which one is for you? — COD Warzone Mobile vs COD Mobile

This topic boils down to your preference, but even with that, COD Warzone mobile could be something you can easily jump into. Both titles offer something different. So by going into the latest release that is COD Warzone Mobile, you might find your next favorite game.

I enjoy the COD Mobile quite a bit. The gunplay and the movement feel incredibly well done in the battle royale. Not only that, there are many other modes like Team Deathmatch. This is great because I don’t need to stick to one mode, there’s always stuff for me to do. The best part about COD Mobile is the learning curve. I usually play with the touchscreen controls which turned me away initially. After my first few matches, I adapted quite well that playing on a phone has almost become second nature.

COD Warzone Mobile is more of a focused experience in that you’ll be playing the DMZ mode mostly. I’m not the biggest fan of extraction shooters, but Warzone on PC and console made this type of mode to play easier. The same can be said for the mobile version. However, the interesting part is that I find the touchscreen controls on COD Mobile have a faster response time than COD Warzone Mobile, which has made the matches more of a struggle. Plus, I have a strong phone that should handle the game. Even after implementing settings to make gameplay smoother, I still faced issues like stuttering and framerate drops. On the other hand, not everything is doom and gloom. When you finally get into the meta, which may be quicker than me, that rhythm of attacking players, earning Event Points, and more becomes more fluid.

The verdict

You may not agree with any of my points which is why most of this falls into what you like playing. With that being said, my personal choice of which one is better is COD Mobile. It’s a polished game, has more modes than COD Warzone Mobile, and just feels like a complete game. This shouldn’t be taken as a dig at the mobile version of Warzone. If Acitivison is a creature of habit, you can expect COD Warzone Mobile to be a little more fleshed out in the coming weeks or months. When that happens, the game may be in a better and more stable state.
