COD Mobile Weapon Inspection Is An Entire WW2 Cinematic Experience

Call of Duty: Mobile is apparently getting a new weapon that has the most cinematic weapon inspection animation we’ve ever seen. A leak has revealed a new mythic weapon for Call of Duty: Mobile that has players staring down the barrel of the gun to see a WW2 sequence that looks like it could be from Saving Private Ryan. Soldiers take cover and shield themselves from incoming machine gun fire on a battlefield complete with a tank and planes flying overhead.

A solider collapses on the battlefield and is helped up by another infantryman who says, “Don’t worry, soldier, I’m with you every step of the way. We stand together. We fight for the generations to come.” Again, all of this is happening on top of the weapon, an MG42.

Normally, Call of Duty weapon inspections amount to the player looking down the barrel and around the sides of their gun to get a better look at it. This is something entirely different and far more impressive.

The video was published by the Leakers On Duty account, but as of yet, this specific weapon animation doesn’t appear to have been officially announced or detailed. The music from the sequel was apparently composed by none other than legendary composer Hans Zimmer.

The MG42 has various kill effects, too, including one that emits a small airplane that drops bombs. Check out the video below to get a closer look.

The Mythic MG42 is apparently a new gun for Call of Duty: Mobile, but whether or not it could show up in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, Warzone, or Modern Warfare III remains to be seen. Warzone Mobile, Warzone, and Modern Warfare III share store bundles, but Call of Duty: Mobile stands apart as its own thing.
