Jeremy Clarkson’s partner Lisa Hogan took to Instagram to share an update on how the gloomy weather has impacted the growth of fruit on the Diddly Squat Farm.

Due to the lack of sun in recent weeks, their raspberries aren’t ripening at their usual pace.

However, that didn’t stop Lisa from taste testing those ready to pick and apologised for not sharing them with Jeremy.

Posting on Instagram, she could be seen examining some of the raspberries on the farm with some a bright pink while others were still green.

Lisa said: “The second of August. Lovely weather. And it’s been great for the raspberries because they’re really juicy.”

However, she added: “But we haven’t had enough sun to ripen them.”

As Lisa plucked one pink raspberries, she joked: “Look at that, it’s mine. It’s disappearing immediately.”

Lisa apologised to Jeremy for not bringing the fruit home to him.

“Sorry Jeremy. It was going to be for you, goops,” she laughed.

The disappointing update on the fruit on Diddly Squat comes after Lisa shared her happiness over the potatoes.

She told fans: “So come here, let me show you what the potatoes are like. We’ve had a fair bit of rain and a little bit of rain, not much.

“But they are flowering up nicely… Right, let’s have a look.”

As she inspected the potatoes, Lisa commented: “Okay, they’re not big but that’s a beautiful specimen. Yeah, happy with that.”

Fans have shared similar problems with growing fruit and vegetables, with one writing on Instagram: “Same here in Ireland. Notting ripening.”

Another meanwhile encouraged Lisa to keep eating the berries without Jeremy: “Eat them all before he gets any! Hee hee.”

Clarkson’s Farm is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video now.
