Bushiroad announced on July 4, that it will release the competitive card game CardFight !! Vanguard Dear Days on November 17 on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
The game comes with full English language support, a first for the Vanguard brand, which makes it a big step for the series in the worldwide market.
This is a fresh start for the series meaning no prior exposure is needed. Vanguard Dear Days has a new plot occurring within the world of the newest Vanguard anime: Vanguard overDress. The anime has introduced a new playable format and a new set of rules, making it easier to engage with the card game experience. The video game also has a separate story from the main anime and a new original protagonist, so it can also be enjoyed without prior experience with the anime.
The game is about gathering friends through card fights in order to rebuild the recently-disbanded strongest duelling team. There are more than 1,000 cards to choose from that support the new standard format. The game has various modes including Story mode, CPU fight, friend fight and ranked fight for online matches. The game’s official English website also has very good beginner guides for those wanting to train or look up the rules before the official release.
The Nintendo Switch version will come packaged with Special PR cards, and there are many benefits players can get ahold of depending on the store they buy the game in. Reservations are now open on the official Japanese website and there appears to be a limited number of items.
For those who are interested in watching the anime, Bushiroad has uploaded the first season of Overdress both dubbed and subbed on their official YouTube channel. The new season, CardFight !! Vanguard will+dress has also started airing recently.
