Capcom Unveils Bonus Costumes Included In Resident Evil 4 Remake Deluxe Edition

In an update made to the preorder page on the official Resident Evil website, Capcom has revealed all the bonus in-game costumes included in the Deluxe Edition of upcoming survival horror adventure, Resident Evil 4 Remake. A total of six costumes will be available with this edition: two Leon & Ashley costume sets, and two extra costumes exclusively for Leon.

Each of the two Leon & Ashley costume sets includes a pair of matching outfits for the duo. One, the ‘Romantic’ set, swathes Leon Kennedy and Ashley Graham in fabulously frilled shirts, stark raven-black pants, and moonlight-gray hairstyles befitting either a vampire or a von Karma. The other Leon & Ashley costume set, labeled ‘Casual’, decks Leon out in a puffy bomber jacket and jeans — while covering Ashley in clothes straight off the rack of some local Hot Topic. Ashley’s Casual outfit, which the internet has already embraced with much love and open arms, gives the heroine a skull-print tee, white shorts, studs and beads and chains, and most importantly of all, a blonde emo swoop with pink highlights.

As for the two standalone Leon costumes, each of these is accompanied by a relevant filter. When Leon dons his Villain costume, for example, the screen will take on a blood-red hue. Conversely, when Leon Kennedy is all dressed up in his rather swashbuckling Hero costume — belts and boots ahoy — the screen will be tinged a bright, brave blue. Changing Leon in and out of these costumes will have no effect on Ashley’s outfitting.

Aside from these additional character costumes, the Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil 4 will also come with additional in-game weapons, sporty sunglasses for Leon to wear, and the option to swap the game’s soundtrack from the remastered version to the music from the original 2005 GameCube release. Those who preorder the Deluxe Edition will also receive the in-game bonuses of two attache cases and two charms.

These bonus attache cases and two charms will also be included with all preorders of the Resident Evil 4 Remake Collector’s Edition, as will the Extra DLC Pack consisting of the aforementioned costumes, weapons, soundtrack option, and sporty sunglasses. According to the official website, the extra DLC pack will be available to purchase separately on the day of the game’s release.

Resident Evil 4 Remake launches on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on March 24. A Chainsaw Demo chronicling a truncated version of the game’s opening is currently downloadable through the Steam, PlayStation, and Microsoft storefronts.
