Britain’s Got Talent returned to ITV for another semi-final with eight acts taking to the stage in a bid to impress the judges.

All-female dance group Yo Highness were the first to perform and they wowed the judges, including Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, with their sassy routine.

It was then the turn of 11-year-old singer Olivia Lynes, who belted out a rendition of Frozen’s Into the Unknown.

While the judges loved the acts, the viewers at home were less than impressed and branded the show “boring”.

@thrashedroadfur posted: “I’m not that entertained by this evening’s show #BGT.”

@rego_1964 complained: “Oh dear. @BGT standard semi final time ……. an average professional dance troupe not from Britain, a young girl sings, another dance act (mainly from the backing dancers), and now a boring magician! Can’t watch any more! #BGT #BGT2023 #BritainsGotTalent.”

@UnexpectedPip added: “Is it just all kids and magicians on #BGT cos this is absolutely boring the sh** out of me.”

@djspeedy34 shared: “Its a boring tonight on #BGT,” as @dnbentley continued: “When the tweets are better than the programme (again) #bgt #BritainsGotTalent.”

The full line-up of contestants taking part in tonight’s semi-final includes all-female dance group Yo Highness and 15-year-old singer Tia Connolly.

Others taking to the stage are salsa dance duo Nathan and Joanne, singer and magician Lewis Fuller and 11-year-old singer Olivia Lynes.

Viewers were also freaked out by sword swallower Andrew Stanton and cried over all-male choir John’s Boys.

Finally, comedic variety act Viggo Venn will be out to impress the judges once more.

Monday’s semi-final saw dancer Musa Motha and singer Amy Lou earn a place in Sunday’s grand final.

The semi-final rounds will continue nightly all this week on ITV1 and ITVX.

The first semi-final of the week was thrown into chaos after host Ant slipped on the stage whilst opening the show.

He took to social media to give viewers an update afterwards, saying: “It was alright, I think the adrenaline gets you through but now it’s a bit like OOH I need a bit of ice on that.”

Britain’s Got Talent is airing weeknights on ITV from 8pm.
