Black Clover Chapter 348 Spoilers

Chapter 348 of Black Clover is titled “Resolve,” and the editor’s note says, “Asta is not hesitating anymore.” The chapter starts with Lily giving a surprised reaction to seeing Asta as she believed he was dead after Lucius’ attack. Liebe and Asta can be seen discussing Ichika’s hallucinations, and they say it looked like one of her relatives.

The scene then cuts to Yrul, who seems to berate the enemies by saying that the human heart is weak, and then he chides Ryuzen and comments that they are pathetic, even though they are the strongest ones in the country. He continues to say that no matter who, humans will always have fears, including Asta. That’s when he uses his hallucination power on him, and Asta sees himself, which reveals that Asta fears himself.

The illusion Asta comments that “I cannot become the Wizard King.” Yrul gets surprised to see Asta fearing himself. Nonetheless, he uses Asta’s fear on him and plans to get praised by Lucius after killing the young boy. The illusion Asta starts talking bout his insecurities and states that he isn’t as talented as Yuno. On the other hand, Asta’s inner self says that he never realized that his biggest fear was that he was weak.

As the illusion starts to make a deeper impact on Asta, he uses his Zetten to slash the illusion away and states that he just cut out his weaker self using his training. Asta’s trainer, Yosuga, supports him by saying that he found what he was missing during their training. Asta accepts his weaker side and his inner monologue states that he has no talents, so he needs to work hard, learn, and get more experience.

There’s no time to be scared, and the only thing he should focus on is being strong, so he can win, protect, and save his loved one. Even if he loses to Lucius, he needs to get stronger than him and not lose again. And that’s the kind of Wizard King he had in mind.

Yrul plans to finish him off with one attack, but Asta, with such a strong resolve in his mind, cuts him off. Ichika comments on the sudden change in the enemy’s Yoryoku, and Yosuga replies that Asta managed to cut off the enemy’s powers. He continues to explain that earlier, Asta used to get too worried. But while using Zetten, one only needs to see the moment their enemy is about to attack. And as Asta’s Anti-Magic can cancel the opponent’s magic, there’s a certain victory for him.

The scene then shifts to Asta’s attack, and he comments, “I can see it,” meaning that Asta has finally developed the ability to see the moment of the attack when the Zetten needs to be executed, exactly doing what Yosuga explained before. The chapter ends with Asta looking at Sister Lily and promising to save her.
