If you pre-ordered the game, make sure to equip the Cait Sith Charm as it increases your gil gain by 25%.
This is a huge boost and is essential to earning gil as fast as possible. Currently, there is no known way to get the Cait Sith Charm except for pre-ordering the game. While you can still earn gil fast without the Cait Sith Charm, it is a huge help if you have it.

The best way to earn gil fast in Final Fantasy 16 is to find and defeat Notorious Marks. Notorious Marks are found via Hunt Boards at The Hideaway and defeating them grants you 12,000 to 20,000 gil.
Finding and defeating Notorious Marks can take some time, but the huge sum of gil you get as a reward is more than worth it. Plus, you can get other creating materials like Gelatinous Mass, too.

A standard way to earn gold in any game is to complete side quests, and it’s no different in Final Fantasy 16. While you’ll only get a couple thousand gil for completing side quests, they are worth doing if you want to grind for a lot of gil quickly.
