Diablo 4’s Druid is probably one of the more versatile classes in the game. You can create an alternative tank build, or have a build that mimics Sorcerers. Regardless, you can have fun with the Druid class. The interesting thing about the Druid is how creative you can be, they allow you to play in many different ways. Where some classes specialize in certain aspects, this class can be an open book. But while the Druid has a high degree of customization, this build focuses on its strengths. Read this guide if you want to know the best early-game Druid build in Diablo 4.
To start, let’s get a general outline of what to expect from this build, and how it’ll perform during those crucial moments.
The good:
The bad:
I also created this build while playing the hardcore mode. So it’s built to withstand the harshness of this difficulty, however, you can use it on softcore.

Before we dive into why this is the best early-game build for the Druid in Diablo 4, let’s go over the skills that make it so. There is room to experiment, but from playing this is what I recommend.
The Wind Storm build is all about locking down the field and controlling the tempo of the fight in your favor. This is all done by the crowd control skills such as Enhanced Tornado, and Enhanced Hurricane. Both wind-based attacks keep the enemies at bay, with Enhanced Hurrican slowing them down. To add more negative effects, you can use the Enhanced Wind Sheer that decreases their defense. With all those effects impacting your enemy, send out your wolves because now you have enemies that are slowed. As mentioned, with slowed enemies, the damage is increased drastically.
Additionally, if you want to get in control of the fight quickly, consider using Enhanced Trample. Because as soon as you become unstoppable, you can plow through enemies with ease. When knocked back, your damage output increases, so you can do moves like Enhanced Storm Strike.
A good reason why this is the best early-game Druid Builds in Diablo 4 is because of those summonses. Much like the Necromancer Summoner Build, it comes in handy. This is because you don’t have to take on as much damage and let your wolves do most of the work. If you’re in a party, they are great at creating breathing room for the group.
As you reach level 15, you unlock Boons that can be earned by spending offerings. There are many you can earn and can swap out to experiment with.
To make this the best early-game Druid build in Diablo 4, it’s a good idea to create the class so it can go up against various enemy types.
Wariness is a great Boon to have. Since there are many elites in Diablo 4 who are all-powerful, having something to buffer the attack is important. With Wariness you take 10 percent less damage from elite enemy types. This becomes crucial when you’re playing on hardcore.
The following Aspect for the Druid pretty much offers the same help against elite enemy types. For this build, you want to get the Aspect of the Protector. You can get this Aspect by completing the dungeon called The Lost Archives in Fractured Peaks. The Aspect of the Protector works like this: when taking damage from an elite enemy, you absorb between 630 and 1,260 damage. This goes on for around 10 seconds, but only activates every 30 seconds.
Wariness and Aspect of the Protector can work in tandem with one another. Since Aspect of the Protector only works every 30 seconds, Warniess can take its place for a time. As those two traits go back and forth, you can potentially negate a decent chunk of any elite enemy-type attacks. Since this build can work as a tank class, these two abilities make it possible. When playing on hardcore, this is a matter of life and death. Having something that buffers high-level attacks, and has you surviving longer, makes all the difference.
The skill set of this build is centered around defeating groups of enemies, the Boon and the Aspect are there to deal with elites. The reason why I think this is the best early-game Druid build in Diablo 4, is that it’s multipurpose. When you have traits that are covering two points, you can play a little more aggressively. So when you’re in a fight, your skills can help you deal with smaller groups of enemies. Then, Wariness and Aspect of the Protector offer that protection against the elites, nullifying almost all their attacks. As mentioned, this becomes even more detrimental on hardcore.
