March 6: Playstack and LocalThunk today announced a new sales milestone for Balatro, their poker-inspired roguelike deckbuilder that’s turned into a hit. Total sales have now surpassed 500,000 copies.
That number is based on worldwide sales across all platforms. The feat was accomplished in just ten days.
This is technically the second sales update for the game. In just 72 hours, the title had sold more than 250,000 copies. Again that was for all platforms combined.

Earn enough chips to beat devious blinds, all while uncovering hidden bonus hands and decks as you progress. You’re going to need every edge you can get in order to reach the boss blind, beat the final ante and secure victory.

March 18: We have a sales update for Balatro, as sales have now surpassed one million copies sold.

I still can’t grasp the response to this game, and I am overjoyed that so many people have been able to have fun with my silly creation. I’m so fortunate that I can continue working on my passion as a career. Thank you!”
