All Zenless Zero Zone currencies explained

0

Zenless Zone Zero follows the same path as other HoYoveres games like Genshin Impact. In the sense that there are many gacha features in the game. Like the other games made by the developer, ZZZ has three currencies you have to pay attention to. They can be confusing. The first time I played, the currencies made everything overwhelming. So to make sure you don’t go through my experience, this guide will explain all the currencies in Zenless Zone Zero.

Zenless Zone Zero: All currencies explained

If you’re coming from Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail, this will be familiar territory. But like me, you may be a little puzzled as to what each represents. Having this many currencies should make the ZZZ unapproachable, but the aforementioned games have proven otherwise. In turn, ZZZ has become one of our most hyped games of 2024.

What does all the currency mean?

So what does each currency mean? You may ask. First, there are three that you’re going to want to take track of. I’ll break down all of them so you know how to get them, and what they’re used for. This way ZZZ won’t feel like a burden when you play.

  • Dennies: This is the main free currency that you’ll be earning in the game. Think of credits in Honkai Star Rail. They act the same way. You can buy a lot of in-game items with this currency. To earn Dennies, simply play ZZZ. Do the missions, Combat Simulations, and more. It’s the easiest currency to generate in the game.
  • Investigator Logs: Since ZZZ features a colorful cast of characters, this currency benefits this feature of the game. Investigator Logs allow you to upgrade a character that you’re using. To obtain this currency, you need to be playing in the Combat Simulator. You can also earn an even higher tier of Investigator Logs by going into the Residual Signal Exchange, or you can play the story. They seem to unlock as you progress through ZZZ’s main missions.

  • Film: This is a little more complicated currency since it’s tied to ZZZ’s gacha system. The game features Standard Banners and Limited Banners. Film can be used to obtain Standard Banners which result in Master Tapes. Those Master Tapes help unlock new characters, Bangboos, and more. To farm Film, you can get through Commisions. These are earned by playing above average in the missions and doing all the side quests. You can also get them during the many events. The easiest way to earn them is by doing the Video Collection. You rewatch the cutscene and redo the combat from the mission. If you get a three-star which is perfect, one of the rewards could be Film.
