All Creatures Great and Small’s Callum Woodhouse hints at return for Tristan | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

In a Masterpiece trailer, Nicholas Ralph, Rachel Shenton, Anna Madeley and Callum Woodhouse reflect on where their characters found themselves by the end of season three.

Executive producer Melissa Gallant also looked ahead to season four and what is in store for the loveable characters.

Saying goodbye to Mrs Hall (played by Anna Madeley), Tristan tells her: “Take care of my brother for me won’t you?”

She replies: “As much as he’ll allow,” as they embrace one another with Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West) smiling down at his feet in the background.

Discussing Tristan’s departure, Callum explained: “We do leave Tristan at the end of season three after having made one of the biggest decisions of his life.

“A very monumental decision, so we will see where that takes him.”

Will Tristan make a comeback in the future series and reunite with his brother and other members of Skeldale House?

Throughout the three seasons, Tristan and Siegfried’s relationship was turbulent with Tristan desperately trying to aspire to be his big brother.

Despite this and all the life lessons Siegfried has so desperately tried to teach Tristan, that didn’t stop him from being upset when his little brother was called to war.

At the end of season three, just before Tristan left, Siegfried told him: “If anything happened to you, it would be the end for me. I love you, you damn fool.”

Reassuring Siegfried, Tristan replied: “I have always looked up to you, but I have to go,” before they hugged one another at the station, with Siegfried telling him: “I am so proud of you.”

However, their calm relationship was abruptly called short as Tristan cheekily revealed that he had racked up a tab and left it for Siegfried to pick up.

He noted: “I am sorry about the tab, I might have racked up an entirely significant bill at The Drovers…”

Filming for the fourth season has already started, with Tristan’s replacement being seen for the first time alongside Siegfried.

New pictures have shown Siegfried and new cast member James Anthony-Rose enjoying a ride in a vintage green sports car during the filming.

Could James’ character be a replacement for Tristan at the veterinary surgery?
