Alec Baldwin slaps phone out of Palestine protester’s hand after they ask “why did you kill that lady?”

Alec Baldwin has been filmed slapping someone’s phone out of their hand after they repeatedly questioned him.

The actor appeared to be buying a drink in a New York cafe and taking a phone call when the video starts, with the person behind the camera saying: “Alec can you please say ‘Free Palestine,’ one time?” The video (via Newsweek) can be seen below.

The protester then proceeds to ask the actor: “Why did you kill that lady?” referring to the ongoing case surrounding the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film Rust.

Baldwin discharged the live round from a gun he was using as a prop, fatally shooting Hutchins and leading to the trials of both Baldwin and the movie’s armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who has been recently sentenced to 18 months in prison. Baldwin’s trial is set to take place in July this year.

The person filming then added: “You killed that lady, you got no jail time. No jail time, Alec. You put innocent people in jail Alec Baldwin,” before a member of staff can be seen attempting to resolve the situation.

Baldwin is then repeatedly asked to say the words “free Palestine,” with the protester saying: “Just one time and I’ll leave you alone.”

Throughout the video, which is almost one minute long, Baldwin refuses the protester’s requests, and mostly ignores them.

After being repeatedly asked to say “free Palestine,” the actor then gestures to the door and tells the person to “get out”. He then appears to ask the member of staff to “call the police,” before the person filming says, “You know he’s a fucking criminal.”

The person then says: “Fuck Israel, fuck Zionism,” and continues to film Baldwin, before he slaps the camera out of their hand, stopping the video.

Back in December, Baldwin clashed with a protester at a demonstration in New York which was opposing Israel’s military action in Gaza.

At the time, a protester asked him: “You work for Hollywood. Do you condemn Israel?”

Baldwin responded: “You’ve already got your mind made up… because I’m in Hollywood? Well, you ask stupid questions. Ask me a smart question.” He was then reportedly insulted by protesters, with some telling him to “Shut [his] fucking mouth”.
