The world of Genshin Impact is massive, giving players nearly endless things to do with their time. Whether you are following the latest quest line, doing a daily commission, or just exploring the endless beauty of the world, you are bound to come across a domain.
Each domain has its own set of challenges, some requiring some puzzle solving or platforming, while others are a battle royale format. Regardless of the challenge, having a great strategy going in is the best way to ensure you finish the domain, and collect the plethora of prizes on your way out. Here’s our walkthrough on how to complete the Violet Court Domain.
Domain Overview
In this challenge, you’ll face off against waves of enemies all eager to kill you and prevent you from getting the rewards. In total, there are ten enemies you’ll need to kill, and you’ll typically be fighting four or more at a time.
Like most domains, the enemies and overall challenge will vary depending on the tier you select when entering. The lowest tier will have you facing off against a variety of Hilichurls, while in the second through fourth tiers you’ll battle Treasure Hoarders and Kairagi. All enemies, regardless of tier, will be wielding Pyro or Electro weapons and abilities.
In this domain, there are also two Electro Crystalfruits positioned on opposite sides of the arena. Over time, they’ll each build up energy and eventually create Electro Pearls. When you touch one of the pearls, it will cause one instance of Electro Damage to the enemy, regardless of what element your active character is using.
Domain Strategy
Since you’ll be facing off against Pyro and Electro enemies, you’ll want to make sure your party is properly set up to handle them. It is a good idea to bring an Electro, Pyro, and Hydro or Cryo character if you can, though you can get away with just bringing the first two. Using Pyro attacks on an electrically charged enemy will do massive damage as it creates an Overload effect while using Electro attacks on a Pyro charged enemy will cause an equally powerful, Superconduct effect.
When the enemies first appear, focus on taking down the weaker enemies first. They aren’t too difficult to defeat but can drain your health quickly if they gang up on you while you’re focused on the stronger enemies. Keep an eye on the Electro Crystalfruits as well, and make sure you prioritize using them on the tougher enemies. After grabbing the Electro Pearl, there is nothing special you have to do to use it. It will just automatically trigger upon using your next attack. When used against the strongest enemies in this domain, it can take nearly half their health in one hit, so make sure you use this approach as frequently as possible.
This strategy will work for all tiers of the domain, but the fourth tier comes with an added challenge you’ll need to account for. In the fourth tier, near the end of the battle, you’ll face two Kairagi at the same time. If you kill one of them first, the other one will get some massive health and damage buffs, making them much more difficult to defeat. If possible, you’ll want to try to lower both enemies’ health and then finish them off simultaneously.
