Best Pokemon For Your Party

0

There are 400 unique Pokemon to find and capture in the newest release of Pokemon, Scarlet & Violet. Each Pokemon in Paldea has a base set of stats that can be seen in-game, these include: HP (Health), Attack, Special Attack, Defense, Special Defense, and Speed. When we combine these stats we can see a total value that is often seen as a great way to distinguish which Pokemon are the best to have in your party.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Tier List

The tables below rank all the Pokemon based on the combined total of their base stats. If you’re looking to build a strong party, look to acquire S-Tier and A-Tier Pokemon. There should be enough variety here to mix and match depending on the scenario.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

Lastly, just because a Pokemon is in a lower Tier, doesn’t necessarily mean they will automatically lose, just that they are at a disadvantage. The move-set and Type-Weakness should also be taken into consideration when battling opponents and that means lower-tiered Pokemon can still beat higher-tiered Pokemon.

Pokemon Tier List Ranking Criteria

Dividing each Pokemon into 6 distinct tiers can help players understand which Pokemon will offer the biggest advantages for their battles. Click the text to jump to that section.

Best Pokemon In Scarlet & Violet

The Pokemon in this section have the highest total base stats.

  • Best Attack Stat: Palafin Hero and Slaking have the highest base attack stats in the game.
  • Best Sp Attack Stat: Chi-Yu (Really strong performance with powerful Fire abilities such as Overheat, Fire Blast, and Inferno)
  • Best Speed Stat: Dragapult (Second only to Electrode, this Pokemon also has really high Attack and Special Attack stats too! Dragon Rush is particularly strong and Draco Meteor would be a great TM Move to have.)
  • Best HP Stat: Ting-Lu (Not only the highest HP, but also has strong Attack and Defence stats too! The Violet Exclusive Iron Hands would also be a great option too as it has even high attack stats as well.)

Fair Pokemon In Scarlet & Violet

These Pokemon are middle of the pack in terms of performance. Some of them may do well in very specific scenarios but overall are just average.

  • Best Attack Stat: Breloom (really high base attack but has very low HP and might die first due to the slow speed as well)
  • Best Sp Attack Stat: Magneton (Best ability would be Zap Cannon but, suffers the same fate as Breloom with the very low HP and slow attack speed.)
  • Best Speed Stat: Wugtrio (Has great speed and decent attack but very very low HP, could be a risky play.)
  • Best HP Stat: Chansey

Bad Pokemon To Use In Scarlet & Violet

These Pokemon fall below average in performance when compared to others above. Most of these are going to lower evolutions of other Pokemon and would benefit being evolved to gain more stats.

  • Best Attack Stat: Axew (not particularly strong, but it’s final evolution, Haxorus, is.)
  • Best Sp Attack Stat: Glimmet (Again, you’ll want to evolve this into Glimmora ASAP to get an increase in stats. Power Gem is a great attack to make use of the decent Special stat.)
  • Best Speed Stat: Voltorb (The unevolved version of Electrode, try to get Thunder as it is still good to use with Electrode too!)
  • Best HP Stat: Cetoddle
