5 new mobile games to try this week – September 15th, 2022

Erabit Studios’ roguelike shoot ’em up challenges players’ survival skills as they try to navigate levels while escaping endless monsters unscathed. The catch is that you’ll have to make it through the relentless onslaught for 20 minutes – thankfully, you can take advantage of 80 different upgrades to boost your survivability with each new run.

The game also boasts unique builds you can create to suit your playstyle best, whether you’re slashing through enemies with your enchanted knives or burning monsters to a crisp as a fire wizard.

This Netflix exclusive follows the tale of Luna as she traverses secret dungeons and mysterious temples to uncover the truth about herself. The visuals boast lovely pixel-art graphics inspired by Japanese folklore, with varying mechanics that will challenge players’ platforming skills on each level.

The game also features a unique limitation in that the player can’t jump – as such, you’ll have to swipe left and right to progress, all while collecting gems and pearls to add to your display collection along the way.

This unique retro runner lets players manage a resilient robot as they dive down to dodge fatal flames and sinister sawblades. The infinite tunnel has plenty of challenging obstacles in store for players as they compete for the longest possible fall.

The game also boasts vibrant pixel art as well as an electrifying chiptune across 8 varied environments. Once players get through the obstacles unscathed while earning scrap along the way, there might just be a secret prize waiting at the end of the tunnel.

The officially licensed Star Trek: Lower Decks idle game let players experience classic stories in the popular sci-fi franchise but with the flair and humour of the show. Funny twists and new endings abound – plus, players can dive into the holodeck simulations to try and defeat a variety of big bad bosses.

The game also features mini-games and training exercises where players can level up their crew. Completing events will unlock special characters as well to add to their roster.
