5 biggest changes in the Destined for Destruction update

0

The anticipation has been building all month, but the moment is finally here as the Lost Ark Destined for Destruction update has been unleashed. This is a big content update featuring two new raids, a new type of raid, a new class, a new event, and so much more. No matter how regularly you play Lost Ark, this update is going to keep you occupied for a long time.

With so many additions and changes, including extensive rebalancing, quality of life changes, and plenty of bug fixes, it can be difficult to know where to start. That’s where we come in, as we’ve gathered up all the biggest changes you need to know about so you can go straight to the fun stuff.

Dawn Collection skins

One of the best-looking collections ever added to Lost Ark, the Dawn Collection is now available for purchase in the in-game store. The gold and red of this collection make every class look regal and almost holy. The weapons look great too, with the Sharpshooter’s bow, in particular, looking sleeker than ever, and they’re all available for purchase in-store now.

Deskaluda Guardian Raid

Lost Ark Deskaluda

Hunting down Guardians is no easy feat in Lost Ark, which is why you need to be at level 50 before you can even attempt it. Those who have been playing for a long time are no doubt hungry for stronger enemies to defeat. If you’re one of those people, then this update is for you. The Deskaluda is a dragon made entirely out of metal and fuelled by green flame. This end-game raid requires an item level of 1415 to attempt, so only the best of the best can take this one on.

Challenge Guardians

Lost Ark Guild Screenn

One new raid wouldn’t be enough for an update like this, so how about a whole new type of raid? These raids can be attempted once a week and will see you take on three challenge Guardians, with a new one being shuffled in every week. Taking on three Guardians is a tough enough challenge, but things get harder as this raid applies the ‘Scale of Harmony’ which lowers your item level to match that of the boss.

These are very tough challenges for veteran players, but far greater loot is on offer compared to a normal Guardian raid. Exactly what rewards are on offer isn’t yet known, but a larger variety than normal has been promised.

Destroyer Advanced Class

Lost Ark Destroyer Class

The Destroyer is a new tank class with a lot of fun abilities in store. With high health and the ability to generate shields, you should have no fear charging into battle, no matter how many enemies stand against you. Using your hammer, you can build a Gravity Meter to charge the powerful Hypergravity Mode, which slows enemies, grants you immunity to debuffs, and boosts your auto-attack significantly. It is an advanced class, so not the best class for beginners, but everyone else should dive right in.

Valtan Legion Raid

Lost Ark Valtan Raid

The western version of Lost Ark has finally got its first Legion Raid. These are different to Guardian raids, as you’ll have to work closely with your team to counter each Legion Commander’s unique skills, abilities, and mechanics. You won’t know what’s in store until you dive into the fray, so your eight-person party needs a wide variety of classes and specialities, otherwise you could be caught out. You’ll need to be item level 1415 to start this raid on normal difficulty, and 1445 for hard.

There are still so many more things added in this update, so make sure to check out the full Lost Ark patch notes on the game’s official website. There you’ll find all the details on the many tweaks made to balance classes, bug fixes, and new store items on offer.
