10 Gagamaru – Flexibility

It is not usually brought up when talking about soccer, but flexibility is incredibly important for a player to have. Gagamaru, one of the former members of Team Z, has proven this fact several times during the show.

By making use of his incredibly flexible body, Gagamaru has been able to achieve seemingly impossible feats, like kicking a ball, seconds before it goes out of bounds. His flexibility is also incredibly useful for making long jumps. Sadly, it relies too much on others for it to be used correctly, as it does not give Gagamaru almost any advantage outside the goal zone.

9 Isagi – Spatial Awareness

A soccer field is like a small battlefield, where each action has massive repercussions on the result. Having insight, knowledge, and dominion over the said battlefield is pivotal for victory. That is why the protagonist of Blue Lock, Yoichi Isagi, is such a valuable member of any team he is a part of.

Isagi’s mind works several times faster than most other players in the project. This allows him to know where every player is on the field at all times. He can also make accurate predictions about the opposing team’s strategies. Unfortunately, this ability is sorely less useful without a reliable team Isagi can trust.

8 Kunigami – Finesse Shot

Having strong legs is something any soccer player needs to succeed. Nonetheless, Kunigami takes this to a whole other level with his outstandingly strong left leg. Rensuke’s leg is exponentially more powerful than most members of the Blue Lock project.

His kicks are so powerful that we have seen the ball immediately stop spinning after he hits it. This allows the ball to travel greater distances much faster. He can also use his strong legs to jump higher than his peers, giving him a major advantage. Still, for Kunigami to use his weapon effectively, he needs a supportive team that gives him a chance to shine.

7 Chigiri – Speed

Chigiri From Blue Lock Running At Max Speed

Soccer has always been considered a fast sport in which having a speed advantage can make the difference between victory and defeat. Blue Lock has demonstrated this reality plenty of times, mainly via the athletic and swift Chigiri.

In the field, Chigiri is almost a blur, running faster than almost anyone in the project. Few people can keep up with such a speedy striker. If his opponents are not careful, Chigiri will leave them all behind in the blink of an eye. Nevertheless, his speed does not give him an advantage when it comes to scoring goals, which is why his ability is not considered as powerful as other weapons.

6 Barou – Middle Shot

Baro From Blue Lock Using His Weapon

Barou may be one of the most arrogant players in the Blue Lock project. Yet, he has every reason to be, as he possesses one of the most powerful weapons in the show. If Barou is near the goal, approximately 29 meters from the scoring zone, he can make incredibly accurate and powerful shots.

There is almost no one in this world who can stop one of Barou’s kicks when he is determined to score. Barou can also change the trajectory of his shot in the middle of the air by kicking the ball at a different angle, although this decreases his accuracy. We have seen that Barou needs a strong team to make full use of his ability, although he is still a powerful striker on his own.

5 Bachira – Dribbling

Bachira From Blue Lock Dribbling

One of the best abilities a soccer player can have is the skill to confuse and evade their opponents effectively. Bachira, the agile player with a monster on the inside, is an expert in these techniques, thanks to his dribbling weapon.

His nimble feet and fast reflexes make Bachira an almost impossible target to catch on the field. If Bachira focuses, he can evade several players of the opposing team without any difficulty. Tragically, Bachira still needs the help of his teammates to score goals, as he is not as accurate as others when taking a shot.

4 Nagi – Perfect Control

Nagi From Blue Lock Controlling The Ball

In a game like Soccer, where the ball is the primary objective, having control over this object means having control over the game. The best example of this comes in the form of Nagi, the only player in the project with complete dominion over the ball.

His control is so impressive he can even use it to set up traps, trick his opponents into thinking they can take the ball, and even score goals with pinpoint precision. While Nagi is an amazing player, and his control is outstanding, he still lacks in certain aspects, like speed and power, which makes his weapon slightly weaker than it sounds at first.

3 Tokimitsu – Physical Strength

Tokimitsu From Blue Lock Tackling Isagi

While this topic rarely comes up during a soccer game, physical strength can be a factor in whether a player excels or not. We can see this correlation clearly with Tokimitsu, the strongest player in all of Japan. We have seen Tokimitsu withstand attempts to tackle him as if they were of no concern to him.

Added to the years of experience he has as a player, Tokimitsu is a true machine when he enters the playing field. Sadly, the young man tends to doubt himself very often, which sometimes leads to him underutilizing his strengths.

2 Reo – The Chameleon

Reo From Blue Lock Using His Weapon

Most of the members of the Blue Lock project shine because of the years of training they put into perfecting their weapons. Reo, on the other hand, has the natural talent needed to be at a professional level despite not having played soccer for a long time.

This talent translates into his awe-inspiring weapon, the ability to copy the skills of other players he encounters. If Reo has witnessed his opponents play, he can annalize their style, copy their moves, and add them to his arsenal. Nonetheless, he still cannot copy people with more talent than him, which is why his weapon is not considered the most powerful in the show.

Itoshi Using His Weapon Against Isagi

Training their weapons is the only way Blue Lock’s participants can hope to win the project. However, there is a man among the competitors who do not need to hone his skills anymore, the strategic and ruthless Rin Itoshi. Rin’s weapon is not as simple to define as others in the show, as his weapon involves his versatility.

Itoshi has been playing soccer since he was a child at a competitive level. This has helped him obtain many different weapons, allowing him to use each one when the situation calls for it. This puts him on a whole different level than all of his opponents, making him the best and most dangerous player in Blue Lock.
