10 Anime Characters Who Can Defeat Naruto

Naruto is one of the most popular anime protagonists ever made. His journey from being a kid shunned by everyone in his home village to the strongest ninja in the world spans hundreds of episodes. He came a very long way, yet there are still many characters from other series that are capable of defeating him.

It’s important to know what Naruto is capable of before comparing him to other characters. Naruto was fast enough to dodge a light-speed laser fired by Madara. On top of that, he has dealt with threats that could potentially destroy the entire world, such as Kaguya. The current Hokage can also create over a thousand clones of himself, and he has several other unparalleled abilities.

10/10 Saitama (One-Punch Man)

As his superhero name suggests, One-Punch Man is so powerful that he defeated nearly everyone he has ever fought in a single punch. One of the few characters that were able to survive a hit from Saitama was an alien named Boros.

Boros had the power to incinerate the Earth’s whole surface, but even he was no match for Saitama. The only reason he survived a punch was due to his incredible regeneration and the fact that Saitama was holding back his punches in the entire fight.

9/10 Hitoshi Shinso (My Hero Academia)

Not every fight is about raw power. Shinso is a minor side character with a power that was originally deemed very weak, but it is actually very useful. He has the power to make anyone that responds to him fall under hypnosis.

Naruto is a very talkative character that would easily fall for this attack. Shinso also has a voice modifier that can allow him to make him sound like anyone else. This means that even if Naruto knew about his power in advance, Shinso could simply make his voice sound like someone Naruto recognizes to trick him into talking.

8/10 Light Yagami AKA Kira (Death Note)

Light is another character that could defeat Naruto despite being no match for the Ninja in terms of power. Light owns an unworldly book called the Death Note, which is capable of killing mortal characters by writing their full name in it.

Naruto constantly shouts his full name out loud, so it would be very easy for Light to learn the one piece of information he needs to know to give Naruto a heart attack.

7/10 Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach)

Ichigo has shown the ability to dodge light speed attacks in his base form, and he has many transformations that vastly improve his speed. Naruto wouldn’t be able to keep up with Ichigo at full speed. Additionally, Ichigo has defeated opponents that are stronger than what Naruto has faced.

The Soul King is a character in Bleach’s lore that holds the entire universe together, including multiple afterlife realms. Ichigo defeated a villain in the Thousand-Year Blood War arc that is comparable to the Soul King in strength. Naruto has dealt with planetary threats, but not villains that can potentially destroy all reality.

6/10 Giorno Giovanna (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind)

Giorno isn’t as physically strong as Naruto, but one of his abilities makes all of Naruto’s attacks entirely useless. Gold Experience Requiem has the power to trap anyone that attacks Giorno into an endless loop of death.

If Naruto attacks Giorno a single time, then he will be trapped in an infinite cycle of dying. Despite being much stronger, faster, and having way more abilities, Naruto simply has no way of actually hurting Giorno due to this power.

5/10 Kojiro Sasaki (Record of Ragnarok)

Record of Ragnarok is full of mythological gods such as Zeus, Poseidon, Shiva, and Thor. These gods have attacks that make the light-speed move movement look like a joke, can create planets with the snap of their fingers, and, in general, are vastly stronger than Naruto.

Kojirou is the very first human in Record of Ragnarok that defeated a god. Throughout his life, Kojirou trained by examining opponents and became capable of imagining how millions of fights would play out in his mind in a mere second. His prediction mastery allowed him to defeat Poseidon, one of the strongest gods in the series.

The Truth is an omnipotent being that has complete control over the universe, although it usually doesn’t interfere with mortals unless they try to play god using Alchemy.

Naruto would be completely helpless fighting such an almighty opponent. No matter how much Naruto trained, he would still never become powerful enough to triumph over a being that has infinite power.

3/10 Him (The Promised Neverland)

LIke the Truth, Him is a character that has complete control over his own universe, although it’s unknown just how truly strong he is. Humans and demons long ago made a contract with Him that resulted in the Earth getting split into two entirely separate dimensions.

‘Him’ showed off his ability to distort reality multiple times during Emma’s attempt to find him. Naruto has faced characters like Kaguya that were capable of creating pocket dimensions, but never faced anyone that was truly capable of changing laws of physics.

2/10 Goku (Dragon Ball)

Characters as early as the Saiyan Saga in Dragon Ball Z have shown planet destroying power that matches that of the strongest characters in Naruto. Naruto could potentially beat early Dragon Ball Z characters, thanks to his wide variety of abilities, but he is no match for characters further in the series.

Super Saiyan God Goku, at the very start of Dragon Ball Super, was capable to creating a ripple that could’ve torn the universe in half. Since then, he has become hundreds of times stronger and unlocked Ultra Instinct, making him able to dodge every attack thrown at him.

1/10 Adam (Record of Ragnarok)

Adam’s opponents in Record of Ragnarok was Zeus. Zeus was capable of punching much faster than the speed of light, yet Adam dodged the attack effortlessly. Zeus then showed off an ability to stop time for everyone except himself, but even that wasn’t enough to defeat Adam due to Adam’s most powerful trait.

Adam contains a power called the Eyes of the Lord, which allows him to copy an opponents power simply by looking at it. It’s very similar to how Kakashi is capable of copying enemy Jutsu. The difference being that Adam already has godly strength and speed that Naruto can’t match.
