Puzzle platformer Vesper, released on PC last year, is coming to Nintendo Switch as Vesper: Zero Light Edition.
Vesper, which we described as the lovechild of Limbo and a rainbow, casts you as a robot who ends up stranded on an alien planet. As pretty as Vesper’s backdrops are, the robot, the platforms and the game’s other participants are all in shadow, presumably to make it even more otherworldly.
Now, Cordens Interactive (which mercifully has nothing to do with TV irritant James Corden) is releasing Vesper: Zero Light Edition, featuring the following additions and tweaks:

- Updated puzzles and level design
- An unlockable Artbook with preliminary sketches and study
- New in-game assets and sprites
- Rebalanced gameplay
Vesper: Zero Light Edition will be the first time the game has graced the Nintendo Switch, but PC owners aren’t being forced to fork out twice. Those who’ve purchased Vesper will get a free upgrade.
PC owners will, however, also be able to purchase DLC, dubbed Vesper: The Age of Zero Light, a digital art book that is a “..curated version of the story of the game”. It sounds like a cool little extra, certainly, though we hope no-one confuses it with the free PC upgrade.
Vesper: Zero Light Edition lands on Nintendo Switch and PC this May 12th. You’ll be able to purchase it from the Nintendo eShop on Switch – you can pre-order it right now – or from Steam, GOG and Itch.io on PC.
