Microsoft’s upcoming summer games showcases, including the Xbox Games Showcase and the Starfield Direct, will be screened live in some theaters in the US.

People who are registered for Xbox FanFest (do so here; it’s free) can claim tickets to watch the events on the big screen in June at Fathom Events locations across the US.

Microsoft will send out an email with instructions for how to claim tickets on June 1, and the site to grab the tickets goes live on June 2 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. In addition to tickets to see the events, Microsoft is giving everyone a $10 credit toward movie theater snacks.

Tickets are being distributed on a first-come first-served basis, so anyone who gets an email about claiming tickets should follow through as quickly as possible. After all allotted tickets are claimed, there will be a per-location waitlist with 25 spots. So even if you don’t get in at first, you might still have a chance.

The Xbox Games Showcase, which promises news and updates on Xbox’s portfolio, takes place on Sunday, June 11, starting at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. It will be followed immediately by the Starfield Direct, which is an entire briefing dedicated to Bethesda’s next big RPG.

This isn’t uncharted territory, as Summer Games Fest’s main event is historically shown in theaters.

E3 2023 is not happening, but the summer is still stuffed with major gaming events. Before the Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct is the Summer Game Fest briefing on June 8. Other events on tap for June include Ubisoft Forward on June 12 and Gamescom Opening Night Live in August, among others. Check out GameSpot’s not-E3 schedule to learn more.
