Monday Night Raw has found a new home, as the long-running WWE flagship show is moving to Netflix from January 2025. From next year, WWE fans in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, and Latin America will be able to watch Raw exclusively on Netflix.
The deal will also see all of WWE’s premium live events–including WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble–included, while other WWE shows such as Smackdown and NXT will also be available internationally from 2025.
“We are excited to have WWE Raw, with its huge and passionate multigenerational fan base, on Netflix,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria. “By combining our reach, recommendations, and fandom with WWE, we’ll be able to deliver more joy and value for their audiences and our members. Raw is the best of sports entertainment, blending great characters and storytelling with live action 52 weeks a year and we’re thrilled to be in this long-term partnership with WWE.”
According to insiders (via Variety), the deal is valued at $500 million per year and will run for 10 years. WWE’s current five-year deal with NBC Universal will expire in October, but in the US, Smackdown will still be broadcast on linear television networks NBCUniversal and USA Network over the next five years, while NXT is moving from the USA Network to The CW.
The last few years have seen major shakeups at the sports entertainment giant, as WWE and the Ultimate Fighting Championship merged last year into a new company, TKO Group Holdings. On the video game side, fans can also look forward to WWE 2K24 in March, the latest game in the annual WWE 2K series.
