The annual World of Tanks Holiday Ops event returns for 2023, as confirmed by the recent trailer video starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Milla Jovovich. The upcoming Holiday Ops 2023 event will kick off on December 1st and run until the new year, coming to an end on January 9th. The returning event will introduce a multitude of new content including new challenges and missions that will grant players various rewards, including the actors’ voiceovers.
World of Tanks Holiday Ops is an annual event that starts running in December of each year. While the anticipated event usually means new in-game content and Holiday-themed rewards, the long-running multiplayer action game has begun recruiting Hollywood talent to promote the festivities. In previous iterations, the trailer video for the event featured Chuck Norris himself.
This time, the forthcoming event doubles the amount of Hollywood influence as it has returned with a five-minute-long trailer video featuring the world-famous Arnold Schwarzenegger and Milla Jovovich. The trailer revolves around the duo as they go on a mission to save the holiday for the set worker Arthur and his upset son Mikey.
While the star-studded video displays the duo as the protectors of the holiday, this is not Schwarzenegger’s first foray into the World of Tanks. He also starred in the event which took place at the beginning of 2022, which introduced “Arnie-themed” tank skins, new challenges, and other cosmetic items throughout the event’s runtime.
This year’s event will offer even more festive content including Arnold and Milla-themed rewards, missions, and challenges. “It’s double celebration this year, commanders! Arnold Schwarzenegger and Milla Jovovich are bringing the Holiday Spirit back to our snowy village, proving that even a nearly ruin Christmas Eve can be saved with kindness, friendship, and a little pinch of magic,” reads the official event description.
The Holiday Ops 2023 video displays Schwarzenegger and Jovovich as they fight against monstrous snowmen who want to steal the Holiday Spirit until it is revealed that the fight was actually a part of an advertisement. The video then focuses on the set worker Arthur and his son Mikey, who is upset about not being able to get on the Holiday Express. That’s where the Hollywood duo comes in and saves the holiday for Mikey. They jump on the Holiday Express and start acting as if the train starts running and is on its way to reach its destination. The set crew then joins the duo to simulate a festive journey for Arthur and Mikey. The video concludes with the Hollywood duo inviting players to the World of Tanks Holiday Ops event, which will be available on all World of Tanks titles, including World of Tanks Blitz and World of Tanks Modern Armor, from December 1st.
