Hakkai Shiba is one of the strongest members of Toman, but will he really leave the gang and join Black Dragon in Tokyo Revengers?
Quick Links
Toman has never been a settled gang in Tokyo Revengers, as it usually finds itself in turmoil. Every new episode brings a new challenge for Toman. Sometimes it finds its members behind bars, most notably Pah-chin; sometimes, unfortunate incidents like Baji’s death cause unrest, and the arrival of Kisaki was another significant event for the gang. Similarly, Hakkai Shiba’s decision to leave Toman couldn’t be overshadowed either.
We have seen Hakkai proving himself to be a valuable asset for the gang before. As a Vice-Captain of the Second Division of Toman, Hakkai is quite powerful and easily takes down several enemies on his own. However, he seemed like a dog with its tail tucked between its legs in the presence of his brother, and for the same reason, he decided to leave Toman. Now, the fans wonder if Toman is really going to lose another precious member or not.
Why Did Hakkai Shiba Decide To Leave Toman?
Hakkai brought Takemichi onto Black Dragon’s turf, which turned out to be a huge mistake, as Black Dragon’s members immediately confronted them, and Taiju Shiba soon joined the gang. Taiju started dominating Takemichi, despite knowing he was a Toman member. He tells his brother to beat Takemichi, but when Hakkai resists, Taiju takes it upon himself and starts trouncing him badly.
When none of the efforts from Hakkai, Hina, and Yuzuha work, Hakkai uses his last resort and claims to leave Tokyo Manji Gang in exchange for showing mercy on Takemichi. His plan works as Taiju stops thrashing Takemichi, but Hakkai has to sacrifice his affiliation with Toman and join Black Dragon instead. However, leaving the gang isn’t that easy for Hakkai, as it would need final confirmation from Mitsuya, the Second Division Captain of Toman, under whom Hakkai used to serve.
Will Hakkai Shiba Leave Toman And Join Black Dragon?
Yes, Hakkai Shiba will join Black Dragon, but Mitsuya will try to settle things with Taiju first to make sure Hakkai and his sister won’t face any trouble from their elder brother. Mitsuya will meet Taiju, and the latter will threaten the former for negatively influencing his brother. However, Mitsuya claims that he will allow Hakkai to leave Toman and join Black Dragon and will not meet his younger brother again. But in return, he demands that Taiju will not do any violence against their sister Yuzuha, as he clearly knows that Hakkai wants to leave Toman to protect his sister.
Taiju replies by throwing a punch at Mitsuya’s face; however, the latter act calmly and repeats his condition again. He adds that Toman will not interfere if he accepts his conditions, but the conflict will definitely take place if he refuses. Finally, Taiju accepts Mitsuya’s offer and claims he will not lay a hand on Yuzuha again.
At this time, Takemichi and Chifuyu are dejected as they are unable to save Hakkai from joining Black Dragon. They believe Hakkai will kill Taiju in order to save his sister, which would result in a dark future for Toman and everyone affiliated with it, and Hina’s death will not be prevented either. The same will be confirmed by Hakkai as he will claim that the agreement between Taiju and Mitsuya doesn’t have any value for Taiju as he will continue to dominate Yuzuha. He reveals that he left Toman as he wants to pursue his mission to kill Taiju from now on, but he doesn’t want to give Toman a bad name. Now, it would be interesting to see how Takemichi and Chifuyu will deal with the situation and prevent Hakkai from becoming a murderer of his own brother.
