The Diablo 4 open beta is upon us, and the servers are full of players eagerly digging into the game. Blizzard has allowed players to fully engage in the first act of the campaign. Looting and murder have been rampant amongst both new players and old. The new leveling, cosmetics, and inventory systems are getting mixed reports across the board, and many people are having a lot of fun gearing up their characters. But is this all for naught? Does the Diablo 4 beta progress carry over to the full release?
Sadly not. Any progress made in the Diablo 4 beta will be wiped when the final game gets released on June 6th. This means no head start for players already putting all the hours they can into the open beta.

This will result in a level playing field for all new players on release. It also gives Blizzard a chance to iron out any kinks that may be found in the opening act of the game. The open beta is a fantastic way to really stress-test both the servers and the actual gameplay. Of course, if anything slipped past the testers, it absolutely won’t slip past the beta gamers.
For anyone taking part in the Diablo 4 beta, there are a few treats that can be unlocked. These will be available in the final game. Finally, here’s how to get our hands on these little extras.
