In Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, you need to be constantly upgrading as the game becomes quite tough the further you go. You can use crystals from downed enemies to spend at the shopkeeps.

However, there’s another form of currency you can find through your adventure on Mount Qaf called Xerxes coins. To find out how to find the Xerxes coins and where to spend them in Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, read on.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown: Where can I spend the Xerxes coins?

Xerxes coins can’t be spent anywhere else other than a Scrapper. To find this NPC, you must already have access to the Depths, which is the second new region you unlock after a non-winnable boss battle. After you get sent to the Depths and are tasked to follow the old man who has taken your map, keep on heading eastward. You won’t have any map to tell you where to go, but you’ll come across a Wak-Wak Tree, which can help as a reference point.

Keep heading east to the next room, and you’ll see an enemy on the platform. Attack him first before doing anything. Next, instead of heading down, jump upwards toward a round doorway. Past that door, make your way to the other side, and climb upwards.

Once you’re on top, head right to the entrance of the Scrapper’s shop and you can interact with it. When you’re in the shop, you can buy powerful amulets or items like keys to open up chests. Just make sure you have them to spend.

If you already have the map and still can’t find him, use the map below to help.

How to find Xerxes coins

Finding Xerxes coins is somewhat easy — most will be on your journey, so you don’t need to wander off that much. You can also get the currency from completing certain side quests. Not all the side quests will give out Xerxes coins, so double-check the rewards after you’ve accepted one

Additionally, their appearance in the wild is kind of inconsistent. Sometimes, I’d die near one and go back to the Xerxes coin, and it wouldn’t be there anymore. Other times, it would do the opposite, meaning it would stay. So, I can’t confirm whether it is a bug or not. However, as mentioned, you probably won’t run into this problem as much since they’re mostly found on the path you need to go on.
