Where To Find The Treespear
The Treespear scales off strength, dexterity, and faith and offers great range. Here’s where to find it.
Quick Links
Elden Ring’s skills offer great creativity in skill level-ups, allowing players to make whatever build suits them. Heavy Faith builds are great for incantations that can be primarily supportive and have a few great offensive options. Using a Sacred Seal in one hand for casting, players will need a decent choice for their other hand, and a melee weapon is a necessity.
Magic-heavy builds suffer up close when enemies close the gap and begin interrupting your casting. The Treespear is an excellent option for many builds, giving faith-heavy builds the ability to do substantial amounts of damage and stay just far enough away from enemies to cast quicker spells when possible.
Where To Find The Treespear
The Treespear can be obtained after beating Elden Ring’s first legacy dungeon, Stormveil Castle. After finishing the castle, players must head west, down, and around the Liurnia of the Lakes to reach the continent’s eastern side. You’ll eventually find the Liurnia Highway North site of grace when heading east. This site of grace is located near the Purified Ruins and the Cliffbottom Catacombs.
From this site of grace, follow the destroyed paved road south. Following this road will have you passing multiple Marionette Soldiers. Continue to follow the path, fighting or running past the enemies until you eventually find a giant with a nearby carriage. Kill the giant and climb the side of the carriage facing the way you came to open the chest containing the Treespear.
How To Use The Treespear
The Treespear requires 15 Strength, 22 Dexterity, and 18 faith to wield. This spear scales on all of the previously mentioned stats and deals both physical damage and holy damage. This is one of the earliest faith-scaling melee weapons that can be used later in the game. This weapon can be upgraded to scale more based on your dexterity level slightly. This weapon’s base damage is noticeably high despite being found so early in the game, making it an excellent weapon for dexterity and faith builds to use after beating Godrick.
The Treespear comes with a unique skill, Scared Order, which costs 18 FP to use. This skill increases damage slightly against all non-player enemies and doubles the damage done to Undead enemies. It does offer a bonus to damage in PVP battles, but it is very minimal. This weapon cannot be equipped with other Ashes of War. Using magic or items, you are able to boost the damage of this weapon or give it elemental damage. This bonus would be added on top of the already existing physical and holy damage. With many incantations offering buffs to your character or weapon, this further makes the Treespear a great fit if you’re investing points in the Faith stat.
