Warzone 2’s DMZ features multiple Faction Missions, each of which offers unique rewards to players who complete them. While most of these missions will have players complete contracts or use certain weapons, some will task players with finding peculiar items within Modern Warfare 2’s sandbox experience. Such is the case with the Good Fortune Legion Mission, which requires you to find a golden .50 GS.
The Good Fortune Legion Mission instructs players to unlock Room 302 on the top floor of the Sawah Hotel and then loot and extract a golden .50 GS. This particular mission may just leave some players scratching their heads. However, this guide will show you just how to get the golden gun from Room 302 and complete the Good Fortune Faction Mission.
Finding The Sawah Hotel Golden .50 GS
The Sawah Hotel is located at Sawah Village and can be identified by its unique blue trims. If you head to the top floor of this hotel, you will encounter two locked doors: one labeled Room 302 and the other Room 303. While there are many locked doors within Al Mazrah, you will be unable to open Room 302 or 303 from the outside.
To gain access to Room 302, head to the roof and enter the room through the open skylight directly above it. Here you can find the golden .50 GS lying beside a duffel bag. Simply pick it up and unlock the deadbolt door to Room 302 from the inside to get out. You can access Room 303 in the same way, though this step is entirely optional.
There is a slight chance that the Sawah Hotel will be a Stronghold during your match of DMZ. If this is the case, you will be unable to loot the golden .50 GS, as all Skylights will be boarded up.
Now you are free to head to the nearest exfil point and successfully extract with the golden .50 GS in your inventory. Alternatively, you could complete a Rescue Hostage contract for a more stealthy exfil. If you are part of a squad and one of you exfil with the golden .50 GS, the progress will still count for every member who has the Good Fortune mission active.
