Since the release of Elden Ring, strength-focused builds have been incredibly powerful. While you sacrifice your mobility and speed for hard-hitting attacks, the damage output makes it worth the risk. While there are some incredibly powerful hammers out there to choose from and use, each with incredibly unique and valuable skills, they all have very high strength requirements that you may not have earlier in the game.
Runes make the Lands Between go-round, including using them to level up and eventually reach those higher strength requirements. Even after you’ve found your late-game weapon, getting more runes is always the cornerstone of getting stronger, and the Celebrant’s Skull helps you get more.
Where To Find The Celebrant’s Skull
To find the Celebrant’s Skull, start from the Windmill Village site of grace in the northern section of the map. From here, head towards the north but not up the hill towards the rest of the village. Off to the left will be a single Windmill down on a lower section closer to you than the rest of the village.
Head towards the windmill and past it, looking off to the right. There you’ll see a cliff with a small rocky path hugging the cliffs above that can be walked down with a few jumps. Continue down the rocky path until you come across a body that can be looted to obtain the Celebrant’s Skull.
How To Use The Celebrant’s Skull
The Celebrant’s Skull requires 18 strength and 12 dexterity to wield. This weapon scales equally from your strength and dexterity, making it one of the few heavy hammer weapons that can be utilized decently in a dexterity build. This weapon comes with the skill Barbaric Roar and can be infused with other ashes of war. This skill is pretty straightforward, as it boosts your total damage output for a short time when using the hammer. It will also have an altered heavy attack during this time, allowing for quicker combos, usually impossible with bigger weapons.
The Celebrant’s Skull also comes with the unique bonus of 20 runes when an enemy is successfully hit by this weapon. Due to the slower attacks from this weapon, 20 runes may not seem like much, but over time this bonus can be very helpful. Thanks to the lower requirements to wield this weapon, it can be found and used early when the bonus runes will be most effective. While this weapon is a large hammer, it has a lighter weight than most other weapons in its class, making it a perfect early-game hammer that will help your further your build before finalizing it. This weapon can also be infused with magic and items to change up its usual basic physical damage.
