The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom introduces a broad selection of characters you will meet as you go about the business of saving Hyrule. Some of them seem safe to skip, but others play a large part in building you into the best hero you can be. You just have to locate them. Here is our guide on where to find Pyper in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – Where to find Pyper

Pyper is a flutist and, as you encounter him, a former member of a group of musicians that call themselves Stable Trotters. He left the troupe to pursue his own adventures, which has landed him in trouble.

To find Pyper, you need to head to the Highland Stable. You’ll find that stable southeast of Lake Hylia, not far north of the Faron Sea. Check the map below if you’re having difficulty locating it.

When you visit the stables for the first time, the proprietor tells you about a recent event. A young man named Pyper set a tree on fire, apparently as a prank. This misdeed paints him in a bad light. As a result, he has gone into hiding.

Fortunately for you, since you need to find him, the flutist hasn’t wandered far. He actually climbed a tree not far north from the main entrance to the stable. As you’re leaving the tent, look right and you should see a tree with a thick trunk. It stands within easy reach. Head over to it and climb it.

When you meet with Pyper in the tree’s upper branches, he’ll explain his side of the story. Now that you found him, you must help him get together some insects so he can put on a show for Haite that involves less fire. She is a girl who lives in the area. You need to get 10 Sunset Fireflies and deliver them to Pyper. If you need help completing that task, check out our guide explaining how to get Sunset Fireflies.

When you hand over the insects, Pyper puts on his show. Then he decides he is ready to leave the area, which should work out nicely for you.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for purchase from the Nintendo Store.
