Where to find and farm Rainbow Roses in Genshin Impact

There are a plethora of materials around the world of Teyvat that have plenty of uses. With each new character comes materials required to ascend them, and with each new region comes fresh materials. In this case, the Genshin Impact 4.0 update introduced Rainbow Roses, which are used for ascending a new character. Let’s go over where to find and farm Rainbow Roses in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact: Rainbow Rose farming locations

If you received the character Lyney, he’ll need Rainbow Roses to ascend at different levels. Where you can find and farm Rainbow Roses in Genshin Impact is only in Fontaine, and in particular clusters. Luckily, if you find a rose in one area, you’ll inevitably find multiple nearby.

The Rainbow Rose is a pretty common flower you’ll find in Fontaine. As per the map above, there are some groupings with a dozen, while some only have a few. The three most populated areas for Rainbow Roses are:

• Beryl Region (southwest island)
• Court of Fontaine (northwest of the court)
• Fountain of Lucine (northeast island)

In total, there are just over 70 Rainbow Roses to find. If you get Lyney in your party, and are planning to level him up fully, you’ll require 168 Rainbow Roses in total. This flower look like a pink rose that fades into a yellow shade near the ends of its petals.

To farm a bunch at once from each cluster, I recommend you unlock a waypoint on each island for easy accessibility. While you can use an Aquabus to dock at some islands, to access others you’ll need to jump off the Aquabus as it’s drifting by. Or, find a Waverider Waypoint, which will summon a boat for you to coast around the vast waters of Fontaine. You can essentially island hop and find tons of Rainbow Roses in each cluster.
