Where to find a Grimoire card about Empress Caiatl in Destiny 2

A mechanic from the past may be back for Guardians to look after. Here is where to find a Grimoire card about Empress Caiatl in Destiny 2: Into the Light.

Destiny 2: Where to find a Grimoire card about Empress Caiatl

Finding a Grimoire card in general – let alone one about Empress Caiatl – may sound intriguing given the fact that collecting Grimoire cards has not been a thing since Bungie removed said mechanic back in the day. So, the moment I saw this as one of the many Triumphs to get the Brave Title, I thought that maybe they were bringing this mechanic back as a sort of nostalgia trip. And well, they sort of did, but not as how you might expect.

You see, you do get to collect Grimoire cards in Destiny 2: Into the Light, but they can be easily missed if you are not a curious soul like me – who am I kidding, I stumble with these by mere chance. In the Hall of Champions, you will see several doors to the sides that are closed by a blue shield. These are blocking the way to Lord Shaxx holograms, which are used to attune Brave weapons to increase their chance of dropping. However, inside these small corridors, you will also find small screens that you can interact with and get Grimoire cards of specific Destiny 2 characters or lore.

Playing the waiting game

Currently, getting the Grimoire card is impossible because the screen you are supposed to interact with is blocked by a blue shield. This is because, as the Triumph indicates, the Grimoire card about Empress Caiatl is the number VIII. There are eight blue shields in total, with two of them opening each week once the rest of the Brave weapons are dropped in the game. Therefore, to get the Empress Caiatl Grimoire card, you will need to wait until all Brave weapons drop since it is there where its corresponding blue shield will open.

At least you won’t have to do anything but wait for Bungie. In the meantime, focus on completing Brave weapon quests and ranking up your reputation with Lord Shaxx in Onslaught matches. There are rewards such as the Superblack Shader that are waiting for you and, in my opinion, are worth it, so get going!
