Honkai: Star Rail’s 2.2 patch is coming soon, bringing new characters and story with it. Most players will be looking forward to the release of Robin and Boothill as playable characters, but the patch will have loads of other content, too.
Below, we explain when Honkai: Star Rail maintenance starts and ends, alongside the release time of version 2.2. We’ve also added some details about what to expect from Honkai: Star Rail version 2.2.
Honkai: Star Rail will go down for maintenance on Tuesday, May 7, or Wednesday, May 8 (depending on your time zone), at the following times and will be unavailable for approximately five hours:
The patch for version 2.2 is available for pre-download now. Make sure to burn your fuel before maintenance starts, if you wanted to.
Honkai: Star Rail should come back from maintenance with the 2.2 version at the following times:
The servers may come up early or late, depending on how maintenance goes, but these are the approximate times 2.2 should go live. Usually Hoyoverse is pretty good by abiding by maintenance times. We don’t usually get extended maintenance, but it does end early sometimes!
The crown jewels of the new patch are Robin and Boothill, the new five-star characters. Robin, a Physical Harmony character, will launch in the first half of the patch and Boothill, a Physical Hunt character, will launch in the latter half of the patch.
While 2.2 likely won’t have the complete conclusion to the Penacony story, the big boss fight seems to imply that we’re nearing the end. In the trailer above we see the return of two characters from the Xianzhou Luofu while everyone works together to take down a big baddie, so it’s probably safe to say that things are starting to wrap up here. (Unless… they go bigger than this for an even bigger bad guy?)
The patch will also have some quality-of-life changes, like the ability to favorite characters and swap character’s paths (like when you swap Trailblazer from Destruction to Preservation) while retaining your desired light cones and relics.
