The amounts and timings differ, but as an example, I bought every Salubrious Draught from a Shopkeeper in Vernworth. After purchasing the Draughts during the day, I slept in the local Inn until the following morning. When I visited him that day, his stock had been replenished to two. It’s a slow process, but knowing how the system works is good if you’re desperate for items.
Health and stamina are precious commodities in Dragon’s Dogma 2, so ensure you have a stacked inventory before venturing into the wild.
Is there a penalty for passing time in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
There isn’t a direct penalty for passing time, but you must be careful. Some quests are time-based, and sleeping days away can make you miss important events. While taking every quest you see is tempting, you can only be in one place at a time, so it’s not always the right call.
Another thing I recommend keeping track of is your perishable goods. Many ingredients you find in the wild slowly degrade through time. Apples, for example, become ripened before going rotten. Expired items are effectively useless, so check through your inventory if you’re planning to rest for a while.
Many other mechanics in Dragons Dogma 2 are left for players to discover. Regular gameplay teaches you a lot, but some systems, like Pawns, are a little more complex. Fortunately, you can get by with solid combat skills as a beginner, and the rest will fall into place.
