Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes isn’t exactly a sequel to Three Houses; instead, it’s more like a retelling of the events in that game, and it comes with some big gameplay differences. Most notably, it makes use of the Warriors-style hack-and-slash gameplay, and there are a bunch of other resources to take note of as well.
What are Strategic Resources in Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes
Strategic Resources are a new form of currency introduced in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, which you’ll earn as you liberate various regions on the map. However, they won’t actually come into play until you start the main battle of the chapter.
When you’re ready to finish off whatever chapter you’re on, start the main story battle on the map to view a cutscene, and you’ll be taken to the battle preparation screen. From here, you’ll be prompted to use your Strategic Resources on various types of strategies that might aid you in battle.
For instance, you can spend Resources to recruit enemy characters, or give yourself a more direct advantage like lighting torches to clear the fog of war, or assigning healers to each of your playable characters. The more Strategic Resources you have at your disposal by the time you reach the main chapter battle, the easier the fight will be.
If this is your first playthrough, we definitely recommend prioritizing character recruitment. Having a larger roster of characters at your disposal will give you more options in terms of team composition, and will also unlock more support conversations for you to check out.
How to Get Strategic Resources in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
As mentioned previously, Strategic Resources are gained by liberating the map. At the start of each chapter, you’ll be greeted with a world map, along with a few regions and territories that you can liberate. In order to liberate a region, you’ll need to select it on the map, and clear a battle.
Each region that you free will reward you with 10 Strategic Resources, and may even unlock new strategies for you to use in the main battle.
