Keep reading for all the hints and tips you’ll need to correctly solve today’s puzzle. In case you need it, we’ll also have the final answer revealed at the very bottom. Hopefully though, with a bit of thinking, you won’t need it!

Wordle Hints & Tips For Friday, August 13

Today’s word is a bit of an uncommon adjective, as it was first used in the early 1970s. People would describe handsome men using this word. Not just any kind of handsome – usually the big and strong type, with muscles and a charming visage. It certainly has a very specific gendered use, as people rarely use this word to describe women (but perhaps they should!).

People commonly use this word to describe leading male actors. So, if you read a lot of articles about film or casting types, you’ve likely come across this term. Those who dabble in romances may also be familiar, as fans would often refer to the attractive male leads using this term.

For our final hints, the August 13 Wordle starts with an “H” and ends with a “Y“. This word has two vowels (including the Y), but it doesn’t have any repeated letters. You may want to try guessing some less common vowels at the start – words with “A” or “I” may not be your best bet here.

What Is The Wordle Answer Today? (Friday, August 13)

The answer to today’s puzzle in Wordle is “HUNKY“.

As previously mentioned, this word isn’t the most common nowadays. It’s much more popular in film circles, where critics discuss casting stereotypes and trends. Funnily enough though, you might hear some older folk use the word “hunky” to describe a few of Hollywood’s leading men.

All in all, hope you’re heading into the weekend with a Wordle victory under your belt! The game will always update at midnight your local time, so be sure to come back to the NY Times site around then. As always, we’ll have updated hints prepared for the next challenge. Until then, brush up on some Wordle strategies to help make guessing the next answer even easier!
