Having a good start in a race can be the difference between victory and not even being in contention. It’s the reason why qualifying is so important in competitive motorsports and sim racing. There is another way to ensure that you have a strong start: use a car with superior acceleration. But what is the fastest accelerating car in Forza Horizon 5?

What is the fastest accelerating car in Forza Horizon 5?
Something to understand about Forza is that your car’s acceleration is actually divided up into two stats, Acceleration and Launch. Launch dictates how quickly a car can accelerate from a dead stop, and Acceleration affects how fast a car can reach its top speed. They work in unison and are both important.
If we’re talking stock cars, there are four candidates for the fastest accelerating car in Forza Horizon 5. The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (2011), Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car (2019), and the Porsche 918 Spyder (2014) are the only cars in Forza Horizon 5 to have both 10 Acceleration and 10 Launch without upgrades. However, the Rimac Concept Two (2019) shouldn’t be overlooked as it only just misses out with 10 Launch and 9.9 Acceleration.

When we start including upgrades and custom drag-tuning setups, the answer to this question gets more complicated. With almost 700 cars to pick from and an almost infinite amount of tuning and upgrade possibilities, there isn’t one definite champion. However, there are a few cars that stand above the rest.
The fastest accelerating car is Forza Horizon 5 when upgraded is either the Lamborghini Diablo GTR, Rimac Concept Two, Ultima Evolution Coupe 120, or the McLaren F1 GT. All four of these have extremely similar 0-60 mph times and comparable performance in drag races. If you can only afford one, we recommend the Lamborghini Diablo GTR as it just edges out the other three — albeit by a tiny margin.
