What is the 300202 error code in the Diablo 4 Beta?

If you’re jumping into the Early Access beta for Diablo 4, you’ll either be having a smooth experience or get hit with a long queue. Unfortunately, players are also having their play time interrupted by a 300202 error code. So, what is the 300202 error code in the Diablo 4 Open Beta? This guide will help you figure out what it is, and what you can try to fix it.

Diablo 4 Beta – Explaining the 300202 error code

When you first log into the Diablo 4 Open Beta, you may see error code 300202. But, don’t panic. It could mean there’s something going on regarding connection issues. Based on the high volume of players trying to log in at one time, the servers perhaps can’t handle the load. As the weekend progresses hopefully, Blizzard Entertainment will fix this issue. While this problem is occurring in the Early Access, it may pop for the full release, so it can be a good idea to know how to deal with it now.

Steps to try and fix the issue

At the moment, you may be rather limited in what you can do. If you’re on PC, you probably want to check cached files and clear them. Note that, even if you do that you might not get back into the game. Another way is to restart the game, but if you do this you may run into a long queue time in the beta. Additionally, re-verifying the game might help, you can do so by going into the Battle.net launcher and right-clicking the ‘Play’ button.

If these steps don’t work, uninstalling and reinstalling the Diablo 4 Beta may do the trick. However, waiting it out seems to be the best course of action. Playing the Beta at a later time can be a fix as well, the player count later could potentially be lower. Doing so may give you a shorter wait time.

If you’re playing on a console, at the moment waiting or restarting your device seems to be the only fix.

Diablo 4 is available for pre-order at Battle.com, Xbox marketplace, and the PlayStation store.
