What are Ritual Activities in Destiny 2?

Destiny 2 is a vast title with content for players to sink their teeth into, but more often than not, there can be too much to consume at any given time. However, players will want to know what falls under ritual activities in Destiny 2, which we will break down below.

Destiny 2: What are Ritual Activities?

Throughout the game, you might stumble upon some challenges that task you with completing games in “Ritual Activity Playlists,” upon reading this, especially if you’re new to Destiny 2, you might not know what that means.

It’s pretty simple, as this encapsulates the three core game modes in Destiny 2. Those are Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit.

  • Crucible
    • This is Destiny 2’s PvP game mode, where players will be able to test out their class’s abilities, new weapons, and other nuances they want to see are viable in gameplay.
  • Vanguard
    • A PvE playlist, where you’ll be tasked with completing mini-dungeons, alongside operations where you’ll have to clear enemies out of buildings or various locations.
  • Gambit
    • Another PvP playlist, but instead of game modes such as Capture The Flag and Team Deathmatch, players will fight in three teams of three against one another. The game mode also offers a twist by teleporting via portals to other dimensions to catch players off guard.

While all of these game modes have fan bases, Crucible and Vanguard are perhaps the two most played in Destiny 2 for now. However, this could change in the near future, and we’d love to hear which playlist you dabble in the most.
