Westworld Season 4 Trailer Is Mysterious, And Reveals June Release Date

0

HBO has released a new official trailer for Season 4 of Westworld. The dystopian sci-fi series is coming back on June 26.

Thanks to the pandemic, most likely everyone will need to revisit and rewatch parts of Season 3–which came out, somehow, back in 2020–to fully understand the trailer below. This clip, set to Lou Reed’s “Perfect Morning,” features no dialogue, but is heavy on a series of images letting you know that Westworld’s security team is still hunting Delores (Evan Rachel Wood), Bernard Lowe or Arnold Weber is confused by his true identity (both played by Jeffrey Wright), Aaron Paul is back as Caleb, and the Man in Black (Ed Harris) is still haunting everybody. There’s also, it seems, some sort of new Westworld destination. By now, Westworld fans should be used to so much being shrouded in mystery.

Westworld is a re-imagining of the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name. This reimagined update is co-created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. In addition to Wood, Wright, Paul, and Harris, Westworld also stars Thandiwe Newton, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, and Angela Sarafyan. It’s not yet known if Season 4 will be as flashback heavy as previous seasons, which means it’s also possible that Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden, or Jimmi Simpson could come back.

Nolan and Joy are adapting the popular video game series Fallout for Amazon Prime Video, which is expected to begin production sometime this year.
