Looting and extracting pieces of intel and important documents seems to be a common objective for the Faction Missions in Warzone 2 DMZ. Piracy, Muddy Waters, and Intel Exchange are just some missions that had you doing just that. This is also the case with Unearthed, a mission that sees players searching for a folder containing key information on the Al Safwa Quarry.
Unearthed is a Tier 3 Mission for the White Lotus faction, and is 1 of 6 missions required to unlock the Tier 3 Story Mission: Nowhere To Hide. To complete Unearthed, you must fulfill three main objectives: acquiring a key to the Crane Control Room in Al Safwa Quarry, unlocking the Crane Control Room, and extracting the Quarry Operations Folder found within. Doing so will reward you with a Double XP Token and 10,000 XP.
The first part of the Unearthed Faction will task you with acquiring a key to the Crane Control Room, which is rewarded to you upon completing the Black Mous Tier 3 Mission: Quick and Dirty. If you have not completed that mission yet, or you do not have a Crane Control Room Key, you can still acquire it within a deployment into Al Mazrah. Keys can be found within supply caches such as duffel bags, lockers, and Supply Crates. However, eliminating HVTs is one of the best methods for farming keys, as an HVT will always drop a random key whenever they are killed.
Acquiring the Crane Control Room Key will complete the first stage of this mission, but to complete the second you will have to unlock the Crane Control Room – not necessarily in the same deployment. This area of interest can be found on the north side of Al Safwa Quarry, right next to a warehouse building.
Now that you have unlocked the Crane Control Room, you will need to loot the Quarry Operations Folder from within. You can find the item lying in front of a control panel right next to the rear entrance. All that is left now is to successfully exfil with the Quarry Operations Folder to complete the Unearthed mission.
The Quarry Operations Folder can only be looted by one player at a time. If you find that this item has already been taken, and you are unable to track down and eliminate the player carrying it, you may have to try again in a separate deployment.
