Warzone 2 DMZ: Smuggling Tunnels Guide

Quick Links

Warzone 2 DMZ has its fair share of Faction Missions, and upon completing each one you will find yourself a step closer to unlocking your additional insured weapon slots. While some Faction Missions like Break Check task players with finding particular items, others require you to visit obscure places and perform a specific task. This is the case with Smuggling Tunnels, a mission that involves the secret location of the same name.

Smuggling Tunnels is the Tier 2 Mission for the White Lotus faction, and tasks players with locating the Smuggling Tunnels on Al Mazrah, before placing a camera at two of the tunnel entrances and extracting in the same deployment. Doing so will reward you with the Perfect Duo calling card, along with 7,500 XP. Although the mission brief itself seems pretty simple on paper, the Smuggling Tunnels are a pretty well-hidden point of interest within DMZ.

Locating The Smuggling Tunnels

The Smuggling Tunnels is a permanent Stronghold north of Zarqwa Hydroelectric, and requires a Stronghold Keycard for you to gain entry to it. The Smuggling Tunnels itself is a small cave system spanning across a wide area of the sand dunes between Rohan Oil and Al Mazrah City. The most straightforward way to enter the Smuggling Tunnels is via the main Stronghold building. Here you will find a ladder leading down to the tunnels. However, you can also find a few alternative entrances to the north and west of the main building.

Once you have entered the Smuggling Tunnels, you will have completed the first portion of this mission.

Placing Tactical Cameras Watching 2 Of The Entrances

For the second part of the mission, you will need to place tactical cameras facing toward 2 of the entrances to the Smuggling Tunnels, all in a single deployment. These entrances are in fact those we mentioned earlier, which are located to the north and east of the main Stronghold building. To do this, you will need a total of two tactical cameras. You can obtain the first tactical camera by equipping it as your field upgrade before deploying into DMZ. However, you may need to find an additional camera if you are planning on completing this solo.

Once you have two tactical cameras, place a single one towards 2 different entrances to the Smuggling Tunnels. These entrances can easily be identified as the locked Stronghold doors from the inside of the Smuggling Tunnels. Doing so will complete the second stage of the mission. All that is left now is to successfully exfil within the same deployment to complete this Faction Mission.
