When you’re downed and resuscitated, one of those three sections becomes purple, meaning that you can only heal up the white-colored spaces. Each time you’re downed, another section turns purple. But with Wounds, your HP bar will get more segments, meaning that not only can you be downed more times, but you won’t lose access to as much HP when it happens. Therefore, if you have a Curio with Wounds+1, you’ll get a fourth segment — higher numbers means more segments.

The Wounds stat in Darktide can make your life easier

Once you start playing on the third difficulty, you might find yourself dying more, so it’s never a bad idea to have more Wounds stat points in Darktide.
