Warcraft Arclight Rumble is Blizzard’s new mobile game

Well, that long-teased mobile title based on a certain popular fantasy franchise is Warcraft Arclight Rumble.

On Tuesday, Blizzard finally revealed Warcraft Arclight Rumble, a free-to-play action strategy title for Android and iOS devices. It’s a tower defense game, only with an emphasis on offensive tactics. There’ll be a robust single-player campaign with 70 missions, complete with dungeons and raids. The entire thing is also playable in co-op, and of course, PvP brawls will be encouraged. Sort of has that signature World of Warcraft aroma, despite the lighter tone and format.

Warcraft Arclight Rumble will let fans take control of tabletop-like “mini” armies featuring more than 60 iconic characters from the franchise like Warsong chieftain Grommash Hellscream and Archmage Jaina Proudmoore. Leveling up will be possible through battle and by completing challenges.

One interesting note is former World of Warcraft veteran Tom Chilton is directing Warcraft: Arclight Rumble, so the game appears to be in capable hands.

Check out the cinematic trailer for Warcraft Arclight Rumble below.

There’s also a gameplay overview trailer that you could watch if any of this is even remotely interesting.

Warcraft Arclight Rumble doesn’t have a release date yet, but anyone can pre-register for access on the official website or through Battle.net.
