Lolita’s looks are probably as much a hindrance as they are an advantage in her job. As she says in the opening credits, “it’s been 50 years since the first woman joined the police force, and it’s still not an easy task. Especially when you’re 40, wear a 38” bra and are called Lolita.”

In charge of a men-only team she chooses to remain herself against all the odds, and uses her skills and devotion to fight prejudices.  In each investigations she is accompanied by a series of supporting characters including agent Lello Esposito and the chief inspector Antonio Forte, her former schoolmate who has always been secretly in love with her. The crimes she investiages in the series oscillate between the dramatic and the comic.

Episode one, Lolita and Danilo’s dream vacation in Egypt is postponed due to a tragic accident: a young couple has died during a scuba diving excursion. Soon, Lolita realises that something is not right about the tragedy.

Walter Presents: ‘Lolita Lobosco’ will be released as a boxset on C4 Streaming on 2nd AUgust 2024.
