VTuber company COVER opens overseas business COVER USA

Cover, the company behind the idols of hololive has announced that they’re opening their first overseas branch called Cover USA.

The company’s stated goal is “localization efforts to facilitate global expansion”. While Cover does manage English-speaking VTuber talents, currently their business operations and assets are located in Japan. That includes studios for live 3D performances, recording studios, and more.

Cover is seemingly trying to expand their presence in the west by creating infrastructure that can support more VTuber activities for English-speaking audiences while located in North America. This will especially ease the burden on EN Vtubers who haven’t yet moved to Japan like some already have.
