Vinland Saga season 2, episode 12, will release on Monday, March 27, for the majority of locations, while for a selected few places, it will come out on Tuesday, March 28.

In this episode, Canute has prepared a full-fledged plan to take over the large farmlands due to the shortage of funds for Denmark and England, and as a result, he is keeping a keen eye on Ketil’s farm. If Canute opts to go with his plan, Thorfinn will have a difficult decision choosing between Ketil and Canute. Canute scuffled with Wulf, and the two started fighting; however, the former managed to defeat the latter easily, and Canute’s men rejoiced to watch him win. Estrid also watched the battle and recalled the time when Canute was even afraid to touch the sword. Later, Canute was concerned about the shortage of funds for Denmark and England, and he discussed the matters with Gunnar. Together, they came up with a plan to capture the lands of rich landowners.
The scene shifted to Ketil, who had just arrived at Jelling to meet Herald, but he then learned from Thorgil about Herald’s death. Ketil then decided to meet Canute to pay homage to his brother. On the other hand, Olmar was seen scuffling with “Blue Eyes” Thorfinn, Leif Erikson’s adopted son. Ketil arrived at the situation and solved the matter with compensation, and Leif also arrived and apologized on behalf of Blue-Eyes. Leif then realized that Thorfinn had been working at Ketil’s farm all this time.
Back to Ketil’s meeting with Canute, while the two of them discussed matters, Olmar interrupted Canute and asked if he would make him a member of his guards. Canute asked him to maneuver his skills on a roasted pig, but he couldn’t slice it in half. Wulf said that Olmar was not worthy of becoming his guard, but they considered him useful for their land requisition plan.
