Star Wars Outlaws broke the ice at the event and showcased the most gameplay to date, taking us from the entertainment offered by its cantinas to space battles, and from there to Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine. A grand journey through the Star Wars universe without stops. But not content with showing the game in motion, Ubisoft also provided an overview of the experiences it will offer, its characters, and its story.
Both the gameplay and the preview included different types of missions showing mobility, stealth style, and of course, combat. So far, it appears there will be no lightsaber battles. Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
XDefiant
Ubisoft took the opportunity to update information on its service games during today’s event. XDefiant, the free-to-play multiplayer shooter, was one of the titles featured, announcing that its first season will begin on July 2.
Skull & Bones
Skull & Bones, Ubisoft’s naval battle experience, has rolled out plans for its second season, now available with more narrative content, new ships, more dangers, and steadily paving the way towards a third season that will add 5 vs 5 battles, embrace Far Eastern mythology, and introduce a new type of sea creature in the form of an epic dragon.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
An expansion for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was showcased at Ubisoft Forward with new bosses and locations not present in the original offering, making it a perfect opportunity to extend the experience with one of Ubisoft’s surprise titles of 2024. It will arrive in September.
The Rogue Prince of Persia
The Prince of Persia saga has been very present in this Ubisoft Forward. Therefore, The Rogue Prince of Persia was also featured, although only to announce its first free update. It should be noted that it remains an early access game, so major changes are expected in the coming months.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
The remake of Prince of Persia is one of Ubisoft’s most turbulent projects at the moment, with the exception of Beyond Good & Evil 2. However, its resurgence did not greatly raise expectations, as it only showed a small CGI scene.
Such events are not always used to announce delays, but Ubisoft did so to make it clear that we should not expect Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake anytime soon. This controversial and difficult project has postponed its release after a deep reboot, and it will finally arrive in 2026.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – The Sky Breaker
Massive has many fronts open for the future, but it hasn’t forgotten its already launched projects: Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, the Far Cry-style adventure set in the sci-fi universe imagined by James Cameron, showed a preview of its expansion Sky Breaker. It will arrive on July 16 and is included in the Season Pass.
The Crew Motorfest
Ubisoft’s automotive proposal continues to grow with its fifth season of content, as its paradisiacal open world still has great races to offer and spectacular new parts to tempt players. The Chase Squad, which will arrive on November 2, 2024.
Anno 117: Pax Romana
The year is 117 AD. You rule over twin provinces of the Roman Empire, so your decisions affect your citizens. Build, trade, expand. Take advantage of opportunities and master the challenges and advantages presented by the provinces of Albion and Lazio. The new installment of Ubisoft’s renowned historical saga will land in 2025.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
One of the highlights of the event, and in fact the one that closed it, was the extensive gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In these 13 minutes of video, we saw extended gameplay for the first time, showing how the game will change depending on which of the two protagonists we play as.
Undoubtedly, it promises to be one of the major protagonists of 2024, as it now has a release date set for November 15. In this gameplay, we saw the male protagonist, Yasuke, exploring the open world and demonstrating his hand-to-hand combat techniques. Later, we also saw Naoe, the female protagonist, embodying the stealth essence of the saga.
